South Florida’s family-owned baler and compactor service company.
Waste Recycling Services is a family-owned baler and compactor service company serving South Florida from Vero Beach to Key West and west to Naples. Founded in 2004 and still led by the Martin family, WRS has grown from a single truck in Pompano Beach into one of the region’s most trusted names in waste equipment maintenance and repair — with a team of 9 to 10 field technicians and clients that include some of the largest retail and grocery operations in South Florida.
Built on First-Trip Results.
Dan Martin founded WRS with a simple standard: fix it on the first visit, every time. That wasn’t a marketing line — it was a shop philosophy built on decades of hands-on experience with baler and compactor equipment.
Dan knew the hydraulics, the electrical systems, the wear patterns, and the failure modes that emerge when machines are pushed past their service intervals. When he launched WRS, he outfitted his truck the way he always wished service trucks were equipped: fully stocked with parts, carrying welding and torch equipment, ready to handle real work in the field.
- Parts inventory on every truck
- Hydraulic components ready
- Welding & torch equipment
- Electrical & controls expertise
The next generation, still in the field.
Jon-Pol Martin, Dan’s son, spent 12 years running a service route himself — on the truck, in the field, learning the trade the same way his father did. He didn’t step into an office when he joined the business. He brought field experience with him.
At WRS, the next generation knowing the equipment isn’t the exception — it’s the expectation.
Twenty years adds up.
Specialists, not generalists.
Four things that shape every service call, every
quote, every decision.
This is what we do.
WRS isn’t a generalist service company that added balers and compactors to a long equipment list. Our technicians have spent their careers on this specific equipment — the electrical, the hydraulics, the structural repairs, the cylinder rebuilds. That depth changes how fast a problem gets diagnosed and how reliably it gets fixed.
A system, not a coincidence.
Most of our service calls are resolved on the first visit. That number is the result of a deliberate decision: our technicians arrive with hydraulic components, parts inventory, and the tools for the repair. First-trip resolution isn’t something we advertise and hope for. It’s something we’re set up to deliver.
When you need it.
WRS responds to emergency service calls as quickly as possible — nights, weekends, and holidays. Reach out any time and we’ll get back to you. We’ve been doing this since 2004.
Hands-on, on the truck.
Across our 9-to-10-person technician team, WRS carries more than 100 years of combined hands-on experience with balers, compactors, and related equipment. When a tech arrives at your facility, they’ve likely repaired the same machine, or the same failure mode, before.
A service partner who shows up prepared.
If you’re looking for a service partner who shows up prepared and gets it done — the same way we have for every customer since 2004 — we’re a phone call away.
